The Dark Knight

Playing at most places tonight at midnight.
Mr. Heath Ledger definitely sparks my interest on this one, as he may rival Mr. Nicholson as a great Joker.

Christian Bale, a great actor and decent Batman, falls short compared to Michael Keaton. But he's still miles ahead of George Clooney and Val Kilmer.

But about Heath Ledger, the dude seemed like a cool cat.

Heard that Heath Ledger was out and about at Low End Theory in Los Angeles, peeping out Look Daggers, about a month before his death. About as crazy as Jon Bon Jovi at Low End Theory when Offwhyte was performing. Crazy shit...

when equipment manuals don't come in your language

while most equipment manuals come in several languages, with English almost always included, many languages are left out.

does this have an effect on the music production of each country?

lets see.. (by no means is this a full list)
novation -> french,german,italian,english,spanish
korg->english,spanish, french, japanese,german (some only english spanish,)
akai/roland/yamaha -> english + japanese atleast

Japan must have an advantage amongst Asian countries because they get MPC manuals

Point is i barely see chinese manuals even tho a gang of shit is produced in china

Does this mean theres no demand for production gear in china?

do certain language speaking countries have an advantage in that they get access to manuals? do manuals even matter
does anyone even read manuals?

New Myka and Factor Joint!

I know there's been allot of video posts lately and soon you'll see a influx of interviews with some of your favorite new artist, but for now I gotta post this.
Myka nizzle is probably my favorite emcee next to Andre 3000, he has never lost progression ever since the days of Microphone Mic in 85...
Without Myka your favorite rapper's style would have never been born, but there's way too many things I could check you on, but that would take too long and I'm to lazy to sit here and do that right now. So peep the joint off super Canadian producer Factor
who has produced full LP's for Joe Dub and Awol One to name a few.
Enjoy

Boiler Room

Another film packed with some classic blunt smoking beats.

This one came out in 2000, but it pulled a lot of the classics from the mid 90's.
They made good use of Rakim/Premier's New York beat and another classic Premier joint
with Group Home's Supa Star. O.C./Buckwild's Ma Dukes and Lords of the Underground's Funky Child! Also Tribe, Brand Nubian, Pharoahe Monch, De La Soul, Slick Rick, etc.

KIDS

Good films with dope beats: a simple formula which allows them to be watched over and over again.

I guess it's obvious that KIDS would include a lot of good material because it came out in '95.
Got beats by Tribe, Jeru the Damaja/Premier, The Artifacts, Brand Nubian, O.C./Buckwild, The Beastie Boys, and my favorite inclusion, E-Rule's track Listen Up.
Also watching this film was the first instance where I heard Daniel Johnston during that skateboard beatdown. I could not find who was in charge of music selection, but he/she definitely made this one my top pick out of all the Larry Clark films.
