Hip Hop Health...

Depending on what genre, generation or category you fall under with in the hip hop universe your eating habits and life style will most likely vary upon the title you hold.
If your an underground conisor you probably live in a shitty apt. in a run down part of town, have a dirty refrigerator full of forgotten hip hop artist stickers on it with nothing, but condiments in it and your daily eating regimen consist of lunch and dinner (because we don't wake up until 4 in the evening to qualify for breakfast or even lunch), at any of the fine fast food chains that offer a life saving dollar menu's.
If your the neo-soul middle ground, grown and sexy type, you probably don't eat meat, go to vegan soul food restaurants that play nothing but Dwele and Jill Scott and serve $13 - $20 organic appetizers, where they also charge for tap water.
If your into gangster rap, the underground regime probably pertains to you as well.
And If your in to Club/Pop Rap you are probably eating the best and the worst foods available,
when your tryna get laid you take the ladies out to a fine dining restaurant where you order a choice ribeye steak with mashed potatoes, because thats the only thing you've ever tryed on the menu and your not into change. After the club you'll go back to your normal everyday uncivilized ways of burrito trucks, bacon wrapped hot dogs aka street meat made on a genius shopping cart grill contraption of some sort and last but not least the all time favorite stereotypical mainstream hip hop meal, MICKEY D'S...
I decided that it would be a good thing to list down some hip hop heavy weights favorite foods, so here they go...

Gaslamp Killer -> I Spit On Your Grave mixtape

This shit is therapy. I ended up going to another L.A. club where
the douchebag quota is filled 10 times over, and the radio hits you
hear 40 times a day are played again. Immediately upon leaving,
I popped in this lifesaver. This barrage of beats and drum patterns
could induce a dorky dude from the chess club to rob banks, smack
bitches, and do drive-by's on mark ass busters.

A Toast to The Kings, Los Angeles, St. Patrick's Day

A St. Patrick's Day event for those of you in the LA area.
If this doesn't get you out of the house then I'm assuming you
probably weigh 600 pounds with IBS and have herpes of the face.
Or you were recently caught on To Catch A Predator with Chris Hansen.
This is a celebration of 3 late greats, Pimp C, Mac Dre, and J Dilla.
Also honoring other late greats like Ol Dirty, Proof, Poetic, and Big L.

Buckshot -> "Go All Out" video feat. Charlie Murphy

On the topic of the BDI emcee, a new video for the new album
"The Formula" with 9th Wonder dropping April 15. Minus the
flash of words on screen, I dig. It's good to see Boot
Camp Clik members doing thangs.

The Nike Glide... MUTHFUCKIN SPACE-AGED CORTEZ HOUSE SHOE!!!

If your from California like I am and your either Cholo Mexican, "G'd up from the feet up" Black, Loc'ed Out Asian, Gangster White or of mixed Gangster Origins Like me, you grew up wearing black house shoes aka moc slippers and Nike Cortez aka "puto stompers".
I stumbled across this amazing mishmash of "ese" footwear awhile ago somewhere in an Inland Empire strip mall, I was not ready for this... Seeing these zapatos brought back the loco side in me, I was so ecstatic about seeing these things that I tilted my head up, slapped on my mean mug and stole a beach cruiser to take me back to my car.
These fucking things are so long over due it's baffling to me that some criminal mastermind didn't think to punk Phil Knight into capitalizing off of poor
Indo kids and West Coast bald heads sooner.
Regardless of there tardiness I'm glad to see this

Turn in to this mesmerizing piece of fabic, rubber and swoosh known to all cross-bred cortez/house shoe admirers as the "Nike Glide".

Queensbridge 2008

I still have hope for great things from the QB sector, fuck
what the other guys on this blog have to say. But things
are at a low point from the highs reached in the 90's.
Prodigy has already gone in for his jail sentence by now
for 3 years for the gun charge.

But before he went in he finished a number of projects.
The first of them to be released is H.N.I.C. 2, which will drop on
April 8 on Voxonic Music. I got the H.N.I.C. 2 advance and
it has an almost completely different tracklisting.

The advance is good, I'm hoping that the official release
measures up. Also Voxonic has created a software program
that can translate a voice into another language.
If you're interested, click below to hear Prodigy rap
in Spanish.

Prodigy - ABC

You might not have copped Big Noyd's albums, but you definitely heard
him on the Infamous album. Big Noyd's short verse on Mobb Deep's
"Give Up The Goods" displayed a dope delivery and charismatic voice.
Once you listen to his latest album Illustrious, you're going to wish
there were more cameos by other people and more beats by Havoc
or somebody else. It does have a few joints.
Be sure to check "Things Done Changed."

Nas will supposedly be dropping the album Nigger on April 22.
My guess is that this one will be worse than Hip Hop Is Dead.
But we'll see. I do dig the album cover, simple as it may be.

My question is what happened to the Nas & Premier album that
was talked about in the Scratch Magazine of early 2006?
It's one thing to never do the album. But to talk about something
of this magnitude and continuing to release mediocre albums is the worst.
In my world, this is worse than the Patriots losing the Super Bowl after
the perfect season. Nas, I hope you read this because you can still fix this one.
