Via Pugs Blog

Today is the day...It gives me great pleasure to present to you
my new album Roof Top. It started about year ago when I recorded We are building, and decided to start a new project. Originally this was going to be a mixtape, but after getting great responses from leaking"Roof Top" prod. by Dj Vadim, "Blue Blazer" produced by Dirty Dunnz, and "Wait and see" Produced by Smerz...I decided to team up wit SoFlo Records to bring you alll this album. "The birds eye view of things we do" is what it's all about from the party, to the freestyle, to the internet, to the end of a relationships... it's all covered in this record...please enjoy and tell a FRIEND.

Thanks to all the blogs that have shown me support over the last two years (Fakeshore,2 Dope Boyz, Nahright, Rock the dub, Ruby Hornet, Rap Cypher, Kaos Effect, and so many others...) To Dennis and the team at SoFlo for all their hard work, the good people at Myspace for the feature, My friends and family for their support.

Geoff Barrow (Portishead) on John Sharp

Sad to hear about death, but even worse that most probably did not know or recognize John Sharp's contributions, myself included. Especially since Massive Attack's Blue Lines album is considered a classic IMO.

via Portishead blog

John Sharp 1964 – 2009

I was lucky enough to work with John over a few years. I first met him when he was producing and writing Blue Lines with Massive Attack at the Coach House when I was a tea boy: later I got to know him as a friend and a mentor.
The enormity of his influence and ideas on British music is sadly never likely to be acknowledged.

His influence on me was ginormous and he will be missed.

Our thoughts are with his family.

Rheteric vs. Cadalack Ron

Rheteric not at his best, but still a good battle.
