Wolverine

Dig this, my beats kick you in the head like a Timbaland
Me and my crew stay tight like the X-men
I gets mean and then I turns into the Wolverine
Then I grab the mic and blow the spot to smithereens
- Grand Puba

My foramen magnum got 357 calibers
to bust a suckaz melon like Gallagher
Body chemistry consists of Hennessey, toxic melanin
with an adamantium skeleton like Wolverine
- Ras Kass

It sorta had the strange makings of a tale told in hell
Like "Oh well," hold tall riches
If the Feds is really after him they'll just tell all the snitches
On borrowed-time rhymes, gassed by the silver screen
They cat like their monkey ass can heal back like Wolverine
- MF Doom

With a spiked ball and chain I'm Braveheart, Maximus
With an axe in his hand, slicing up these abstract Pakistans
Never stop, let you not be want again
Me and the Wolverine are the two of the hardest X-Men
- Abstract Rude

Yo, I stick around like hockey, now what the puck
Cooler than fuck, maneuver like Vancouver Canucks
In ya speaker, destroy your woofer, mids and tweeters
Not Wolverine but still I hold Claws like Shameeka
- Pharoahe Monch

Hip-hop and comics. Wu-Tang, Ghostface being Tony Starks. Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider (Method), MF Doom paralleling Dr. Doom, Big Pun as the Punisher (not so sure about this one).

X-MEN was some ridiculous shit to stumble on growing up.
So far no motion picture has been able to capture the same beauty as following the comic book growing up. It's nice that a movie is made, which sort of validates and gives it recognition.

But reading Spider Man when Todd McFarlane started illustrating, or reading The Dark Phoenix Saga, or Spawn, it is far beyond any of the movies created. Didn't read or follow Watchmen, which is supposedly some ill shit. Just hoping this movie does our favorite X-MEN justice.
